One question to consider is how important is the seeding for your playoffs? Do you have byes, etc? With that said, I'm all about thinking ahead in these situations. Word just came out that D. Williams is out for another month, so that might scare other owners from sitting on him. Still, that doesn't mean he can't become a force down the stretch; it does reveal how serious of an ankle sprain it was, however. If you think you're set in your standings and all, you might as well go with one of these RBs with upside. Lundy just went for $450 in our blind bids for free agents ($1000 cap), if that gives you any kind of reference of how some view his potential. Bottom line, I like sitting on either back over a one-week fill in at kicker if you aren't fighting for a playoff spot.

So, I'm 5-1, in 1st because of points scored, and pretty good bet for the playoffs (top 6). Do you think it's really worth picking up a kicker for the 1-10 points he may bring this week, rather than going for a DeAngelo Williams or even a Wali Lundy who could be more valuable down the stretch?

Ya I think it's fine then to go ahead and drop White....I agree w/ keeping Heap/Gould too....Of those TEs I like Alex Smith the most, but in this situation I'd actually recommend going with a kicker instead.

I would like to drop White for DeAngelo Williams and his potential down the line, but really, thanks to byes, I'm short a TE and K for week 7, and being that it's Heap and Gould, I'm not going to drop either of them (or Bulger, Holt, and Gore who are also on byes). So, I'll probably end up playing at least one position short this week. For TE's, Dallas Clark is out there, I don't know if he's going to play this week, but Jerramy Stevens is too, so is Alex Smith...I don't know, none of them excite me that much, nor do any kickers, but I figure I should pick up at least one of them. The team I'm playing isn't exactly stacked, but they're pretty solid, and I don't know if I could handle them down 2 positions.

The MNF game was the craziest of the year so far...Ya Macha has his faults, but his firing is def. surprising. It's clear the players and Beane don't get along with him too well. And you're right, Washington is the logical choice, but he def. isn't Beane's style either.

Branch should be startable from here on out. Seattle can't run the ball, Engram is not at full strength and more of a third WR type anyway, and Burleson is a clear bust, forget about him. I think Branch is going to do much better than I originally thought when he was traded to Seattle. At least this week, Hassellbeck treated him like he was his favorite receiver. There's room for both him and D-Jax to put up good numbers there anyway.

Leinart is totally impressing. This is why I told all Boldin/Fitz owners not to overly panic, but I must say, I didn't foresee him looking this good, this fast. He'll have his bumps like all rookies, but I think it's safe to say he's in store for a big future...Edge's YPC were absoultely pathetic, and I think he's running hard too. That O-Line is dreadful at run blocking. I agree, most coaches are way too play it safe and by the book. Why assume a 40-yarder is a gimme there? At least try a safe pass to get closer.

I didn't see T. Henry coming. Doing what he did in Washington qualifies as the biggest surprise of the week for me. Who would you be picking up if you drop White? I still would think Tenn needs to get their future onto the field this year, but obviously Henry looks like the main guy at this point, and White is going to have to wait longer than expected.

Man...I ramble! I'll keep this one brief: with Henry having very strong back-to-back games (I dropped him after week 1....oops), do you think it's safe to drop Lendale White? I really thought he'd be starting after the bye, but there's no way they can do that now.

That MNF game was nuts...I've never seen a team win that deserved it less.

I'm also surprised about Macha...not that I was ever his biggest fan, but it does seem strange considering it was arguably the A's best season in a decade...but a lot of his moves (and sometimes lack thereof) did puzzle me. Part of me wants Ron Washington to get the chance next...but I just don't imagine him and Beane seeing eye-to-eye.

The TO trade worked out quite well for me this week. Seeing Branch's huge game was a nice relief, as I've had him sitting on my bench on both my teams. I ended up not making a panic move to pick up a RB for my flex, and started Bryant Johnson and Furrey...but I dropped Furrey to pick up Jacobs for next week, since Gabriel will be back. I'll probably have to pick up Chris Henry again sometime, since I had to drop him with the Bye then 2-game suspension he had. Hopefully I can pick up DeAngelo Williams soon, but there isn't even a good timetable for his return yet...I'm worried he's going to be out a while.

Leinart...what can I say, I'm impressed. Doesn't look like Boldin's numbers are going to hurt too much (having him paired up with TO for the rest of the year should be pretty nice). Edge didn't look to have too much of a chance...I really thought the Cardinals needed to play-action and be aggressive a little bit more as they just went way too conservative. On that last 3rd-and-2 before Racker's choke job, a bootleg or something would have been a great call. They had 9 guys crashing the line of scrimmage, and the O-Line hadn't opened a whole since the first quarter. I just wish coordinaters would get some cajones sometimes.

Man, A. Jamison that late was an absolute steal. Seems like a solid draft overall tho, not too many poor picks at all in my eyes.

While I like Vincent Jackson, I recommend Lundy here. Word is Kubiak is fed up with Dayne/Gado, and Lundy is going to get another chance this week. It wouldn't surprise me if he separates himself from the three soon as well. Might as well go with the guy who could become a starting RB as soon as a couple of weeks. Kubiak's run system is a good place to be.

Randy - That first question is hard for me. Kevin Jones is really producing this year, but I wonder just how long Martz is willing to stay as only a coordinator. Chester Taylor has never gotten more than 190 touches in a season, yet he's on pace for about 420 this year - which is good for his numbers obviously, but he's absolutely a candidate to breakdown. But he's def. their guy, and that franchise is certainly on the right path. Both play in the same division and with aging QBs. Basically, I rate these 2 nearly identically in keeper leagues at this point.

Unfortunately, the WRs involved I see as very even also. Chris Henry has HUGE potential, as he's super talented on a great offense and young. But he's also a risk b/c of his behavior and has 2 stud WRs already on his team. Although I like Henry's potential more, if Gabriel ended up becoming Brady's No. 1 option, that's not too shabby either.

Sorry, that's not much help at all, but bottomline, I think this deal is about as even as they come, and I don't feel strongly about either side. Go with your gut on this one.

Unbelievable game so far. It's fitting tho with the rest of my predictions this week. What is Grossman thinking? And their D just got destroyed for 2 straight drives. Pretty shocking.

assist:turnover ratio sounds interesting, and like a good middle ground to use. Yeah I was glad to have Shaq fall that far to me.

I haven't done too much fantasy basketball, but in my league last year we used assist:turnover ratio, which I think is better than just counting total turnovers. I'm surprised Shaq moved up more without the FT%.
