Keith, I moved this comment to under my newest post, since you touched on so many of the exact same topics I did. Plus, it gets lost way down here under the game caps. Hope that's OK. Check out my response there...

Addai being the man: awesome...took them long enough
Maroney not being the man yet: can't NE see how much better he looks than Dillon? I get the feeling he's not going to live up to his fantasy potential this year.
Cadillac: I don't know if I'll start him ever again. I'm on a 5-game winning streak in a league where 3 of my first 4 picks were Edge, Caddy, and Randy Moss.
Huard: should start over Trent Green. I've been nothing but impressed when I've seen him, and Green looked done even before his concussion.
Romo: Brady 2.0
49ers: the offense stunk and the D dominated...I'm in shock
T. Bell: I'm worried about him a lot, but hope M. Bell's subpar performance helps him get back to shouldering most of the load for this season at least.
Furrey: I hate you...now please turn back into a pumpkin
Gabriel: I hate trying to count on a Pats WR for consistent production...even worse, I know if I ever drop him, he's going to explode that very week.
Vick: I love how even on a terrible passing game, he leads my team in rushing.

Hoops - I think the Warriors are going to drive me insane, in both real life and fantasy. Nelson is crazier than I remember...starting guys at positions they've never played, then ripping them and changing his mind after one game where they shockingly didn't play great. I hope Biedrins finds a way to get big minutes somehow, and I hope Dunleavy can find his niche as a 6th man...though I think Pietrus could be a good fit there too. My dream is still a Dunleavy/Maggette trade, as for some reason Maggs can't seem to get big minutes under Papa Dunleavy, and I think he'd be a perfect fit at SF with the Warriors...I think they have to try and get him somehow.

TV – C. Johnson is starting to complain, so don’t be surprised if he sees more balls thrown his way in the near future. Complaining and production is often a cause and effect relationship….That said, he’s definitely been one of the bigger busts this year and that surprises me greatly. I still have hope for their offense, I really do, (I traded for Palmer a couple of weeks ago, after all), but the fact Palmer seems to prefer Housh and Henry’s emergence certainly aren’t good things for Ocho Cinco.

Bryant I thought was going to be big after the first couple of weeks but he’s really disappointed as well. The Berrian injury certainly doesn’t help, either. I’m in too many leagues, but in my main one, I’m going to be 4-5 while scoring the most points out of anyone.

Dillon and Addai actually had pretty good games, do you have a chance at winning now? I told you Addai is the man now.

As for b-ball, keep your eye on Elson, he could be interesting if S.A. gave him enough minutes….But as of now, I like Tim Thomas the most, followed closely by Luke Walton….It looks like both are in line for decent minutes this year (Thomas signed a huge contract, so he’ll get his, plus don’t discount the fact Maggette could be traded)… Walton could be interesting as well, P. Jackson has always liked him, and he’s got that point forward potential to contribute in a lot of cats…..I def. say go w/ either T. Thomas or Walton.

Randy – Addai is a no-brainer, you’ve got to keep him obviously. As far as Jacobs is concerned, I think Tiki retiring is a sure thing, and while I agree the Giants probably bring someone else in, Jacobs is line to get most of the carries. They see him as their future at the position. Even if someone new enters the picture and takes some of the load, Jacobs is guaranteed all of the goal line work, something fewer and fewer featured backs are assured of nowadays. Since Eli and the offense should be potent for years to come, I strongly suggest you keep Jacobs.

I can’t promise Kubiak won’t go out and draft a RB early in the draft next year, but I do think Lundy could be big if given the chance. Shop Lundy around, but by all means, make sure you get solid value in return if you do deal him.

As for Tatum Bell, I’ve kind of done a 180 on him recently. The Denver system demands he be treated as special, but the fact remains he can’t stay healthy, and I’m more convinced than ever Shanahan doesn’t think he can carry the load – I almost guarantee you he won’t go into next year relying on T. Bell for that position. Don’t forget, if Denver didn’t trade up for Cutler in this year’s draft, Shanahan says he was going to select Maroney.

Bottom line, T. Bell has huge upside and shopping him around right now while injured would be selling low, but I do recommend at least testing the waters here.

I like both Jones boys, especially Kevin. Just hope Martz sticks around a bit. Either way, he’s proven last year was a fluke. I was wrong there. While I do admit C. Benson could become a major factor next year, there are a few young RBs I like better – I really like Maurice Jones-Drew, see if you can get him….Jerious Norwood (Dunn is going to breakdown soon, trust me) and DeAngelo Williams (D. Foster apparently sucks even when healthy) are other guys I’d target in a keeper league who hopefully won’t be impossible to trade for at this point.

Like you said, Caddy, Bush and L. Jordan wouldn’t be bad either.

Palmer's inconsistency has killed Chad Johnson's value. Glad I took him in the second round. What a bust. Coupled with Alexander's injury (first round keeper) and my basic inability to score tds this year (thanks Bryant for sucking once again and Berrian getting injured in the first quarter) my team is faced with being 3 and 6 and needing to win the final 4 games to have even a shot of making the playoffs.

Never in a million years would I have thought that my team was going to be this bad after winning it all last year and losing by 2 in the super bowl the year before. My team is just awful.

Guess I need Addai and Dillon to put up 20 point games (ya right) and then Seattle's defense to dominate Oakland to have a shot. 3 and 6 here I come. :(

TV - My picks not included in the game caps would be:

Cincy +3
Tenn +9.5 (or some have it at +10)
Buffalo -3
Cleveland +12.5
Pitt -2.5 - THIS IS MY FAVORITE BET OF THE WEEK.
Indy +3

Comments: You left out the Dall/Wash game in your picks section.... Aside from Pitt, my next two "best bets" would be Cincy and Dallas, so we'll see how that goes...

Joey Harrington at Chicago is enough for me to give the points, but I must say, Chicago could easily get caught thinking ahead to next week's matchup with the Giants.

My Oakland pick was one of my least confident, I could easily see Seattle covering.

Joe, Id start Bell or Moss and I would probably go with Bell since word is out of Denver that Tatum isnt playing. It is a tough matchup but still he is more reliable and more likely to put up big points than the other options.

Here are my picks for the week:

KC +2.5
Baltimore -3
NY Giants -13
Tennessee +9.5
Buffalo -3.5
Miami +13
New Orleans +1
Detroit +5
Minnesota -4
Cleveland +12.5
Pittsburgh -3
Indianiapolis +3
Sea -7

Comments on your picks:

I like Detroit at home against Atlanta. I think they could win this game outright. They have been playing much better as of late and 2 weeks to prepare for Vick and company looks like a win to me.

As you know Im a Bears fan but I think today's game is a big test. Miami is better than they have played and I bet they keep it close today. They have the best defense the Bears have played other than Minnesota (maybe) this year and Minnesota kept it close.

New Orleans is the better team and I think they show it today against Tampa. I like road dogs anyhow so this was an easy pick for me.

It is hard for me to pick Minnesota on the road across country and on a short practice week but I still cant take SF. One thing that makes this interesting is the Patriots showed Minnesota can be passed on so maybe Smith has a big game this week.

Seattle wins and covers. They are at home and their defense is going to play pretty well against Oakland. BTW: How does Oakland get 2 monday night games???

I was worried about the Giants running the ball mostly anyway this game, despite the nice matchup on paper for their passing game. Still, it definitely helps Toomer - I'd bump him up into my third tier. He's definitely a viable WR2 or WR3 now. Obviously, move Eli down as well.
