Wow, AK has some awesome nicknames. I like "Joker," but it's tough to beat "Alfredo."

Glad to hear I smacked some sense into Salisbury. After having ESPN on in the background all day and hearing name after name but no Mo-Jo mentioned, it was more of a call for his consideration than a true argument for him (although he clearly has Bush beat). Meaning, I'd vote MJD, but I agree, Vince Young definitely has a strong case.

While we agree about the "knows how to win" issue, and one game was clearly won single-handedly by the defense, winning six straight is pretty legit. And it's hard to quantify traditional passing stats when he's running like that, so I'll concede he's a fine choice as well. I imagine my boy Kerry Collins probably wouldn't have fared quite as well.

As always, good feedback Keith....Wow, glad I could help with the Wallace awakening! Talk about making up for lost time, now that was a nice game...I feel ya about baseball, I'm counting down the days....

I like Maggette, I really do. And I know Artest is a full blown head case, but when you factor in his defense compared to Maggette's, I think a motivated Artest is our only chance. Actually, the best chance would have been swapping Bibby and K. Thomas for Iverson, but I digress....I like that Dunleavy for Maggette deal for G. State tho, that's for sure.

What happened to SF playing so well at home over the last couple of years? Losing to GB and then Arizona? It's one step forward and two steps back with that franchise. Gore and VD could be a pretty sweet combo in the future, however.

As a "Crash" owner, thanks for waking up Mr. Wallace!

I'm trying to get into hoops more, but it still feels like it's just a means of keeping my mad fantasy skillz sharp until baseball is back.

So you don't want Maggette? I figure the Kings are better off just getting rid of Artest (or reminding Bibby how to shot), and getting a very talented swingman back is just gravy. Mullin isn't answering my letters urging him to dump Murphy and/or Dunleavy for the guy, but I hope he'll at least take my advice, and I won't even ask for any credit.

How could the 49ers let the freaking Cardinals convert all those late 3rd downs and not even get a chance to get the ball back and actually pull a miracle by having something to play for in the final week? Typical.

Mo-Jo definitely deserves serious RoY consideration (and I did hear Sallsbury steak say something along those lines a day or two after your post...he must like your work), but I think Vince is pretty legit as well. The Titans were hopeless before he took over, and while he's obviously not solely responsible (thanks, Travis Henry for never letting Lendale White grab the reigns), he deserves an awful lot of credit for making the key plays that ultimately lead to victory. The "knows how to win thing" is bunk, but there is something to be said about a QB that won't lose a game for his team, and can keep things close enough where a couple plays down the stretch will be the difference.
