Oops! Apparently I've forgotten how to read the English language during the years since I got an English degree. For some reason I never even saw him at #20, possibly because I expected him to be in the top 15.

I thoroughly enjoy reading this blog. Keep up the excellent work.

Respectfully,

Poincare

Poincare - Nope, I have him slotted at No. 20. I do agree tho, he does have top-15 upside.

Here is a big oversight on your part--you neglected to include Adrian Gonzalez of the San Diego Padres in your rankings. I know he's one of the top 30; he's probably one of the top 15. Just thought I'd let you know.

Agree with almost all of these rankings. Helton is falling so far in most drafts, he's almost a sleeper. His power days are over tho I think. Anyway, keep the rankings comin!

Ironically, first base is actually somewhat shallow. There's no doubt about it, third base is a much deeper position this year. Nick Johnson is such a slow healer....I'm also going to try to avoid taking Howard in the first.

It's strange...I think 3B is actually the more stacked position this year, who ever thought that would be possible? I liked Nick Johnson as a sleeper until the new injury news. I think you're right on with most analysis; D-Lee in the 3rd is happening, and is a steal, and I'm not buying into Morneau's 2nd half (though he should be very good). Somebody from the Swisher/Shealy/Jackson/Gonzalez group should really break out and have a big season, but I really haven't a clue as to which one is going to make the jump (Swisher's 1st half last year showed his potential, but I still see him hitting about .265 unless he radically improves his place discipline). When all is said and done, I don't see Howard putting up 1st-round caliber numbers.
